A Night of Blues
The long history, cultural differences, and logistical distances give
even more variation of this dynamic musical genre that continues to
evolve today. Blues from its historical past that can not be denied
has develop into more stories.
Blues, there is more than one sound, one style, one story. It is an
intricate musical and social entity.
It is not the purpose of this show to “showcase” the blues
to an audience, but to bring that audience to the blues, in its energetic
style, powerful presence and emotional moments. The blues is good for
you.
The iconic phrase “you have to pay your dues to play the blues”
to me that always meant work and movement. Growing up on a lesser side
I have worked with two visions to keep me going being safe and keeping
warm.
And there lies the night. This show is a blues show, not of great historical
figures and their music,. This show is my life and my experience and
how the blues helped me keeping it all together.
I have seen many people of walks of life in many places across the globe,
that have the same experiences and have never heard a blues song. All
people share that common understanding of love, loss and the intricate
difficulties of life.
This is a night of common joining, players and the audience, One room
expressing and experiencing the blues.
As we travel from the dark city streets and dusty country roads we stop
into the roadhouses, the dancehalls and go beyond into the nuevo, The
experimental forms of this genre where you become an important piece
of the night.
